Aione “Safeguarding the Wild” Summer Recap | Only with safety can we truly honor the lush green mountains
Dear fellow hikers: Greetings. Perhaps you are currently in a city of towering skyscrapers, scrolling through photos of the sea of clouds you captured outdoors last month; or maybe you have just bought your first hiking pack and are nervously planning your first heavy-pack trek? Whoever you are and wherever you may be, as long as the wilderness holds a place in your heart, we are fellow travelers. This summer, Aione’s “Safeguarding the Wild” public service campaign kept moving forward. We brought the topic of “safety”—a subject that may sound like a cliché but carries immense weight—deep into the mountains and wilderness!
Classroom Highlights:
✅ Pre-trip preparation: Route planning, weather forecasting, gear checklists; ✅ Wayfinding and navigation: Using offline maps, recognizing trail markers, and marking junctions; ✅ Heatstroke and hypothermia: Recognizing early signs of heatstroke and rapid cooling techniques; ✅ Emergency response: Treating sprains, handling snake or insect bites, and safety strategies for sudden storms; ✅ Environmental protection: Leave No Trace principles.

Pack “safety” into your backpack so that every journey has a safe return. Our camera captured the focused interaction between instructors and participants, the lively discussions among hikers planning their routes, and the moment a novice—guided by an expert—correctly adjusted their pack’s center of gravity and exclaimed, “So that’s how it’s done!” In every frame, knowledge and experience flow, while courage and confidence grow.
📍Hiking & Trail Cleanup: Chongli (Sanliang – Yushiliang – Dayingliang – Xiqueliang)
This area is a mecca for trail runners and hikers; its steep ascents and long ridgelines put physical stamina and supply strategies to the ultimate test. True bravery isn’t about setting off recklessly; it’s about embarking on the journey fully prepared. Many newcomers interested in the outdoors are often deterred by the fear of “unknown dangers.” At “Aione – Guardian of the Wild,” we take those vague, unsettling fears and break them down into concrete, actionable solutions—making safety as simple and intuitive as tying your shoelaces. When safety becomes second nature, courage naturally follows.
The wilderness is always there, yet every journey into it is unique.
Looking ahead, we hope to extend the reach of “Ai Wang – Guardian of the Wild” to more cities, connecting with more people who are just beginning to explore the outdoors. We look forward to meeting fellow adventurers who—like us—prioritize safety above all else.
